Launch of ICC Centenary Celebration 15th December 2024 | Town Hall | Kolkata
We marked a historic milestone in Kolkata with the launch of ICC’s centenary celebrations, a hundred years of driving India’s economic growth and development. The program was attended by eminent leaders, Padma Vibhushan awardee Mr. N.R. Narayana Murthy, Co-Founder of Infosys, as the chief guest. Dr. Sanjiv Goenka, Chairman of RPSG Group and former ICC President, came to the event along with the past presidents. In a deep dialog, Mr. Abhyuday Jindal, the incumbent ICC President, spoke with Mr. Murthy. Senior Vice President Mr. Brij Bhushan Agarwal and Vice President Mr. Parthiv Neotia were also present. In his initiation speech, Jindal recalled the century, long journey of the Indian Chamber of Commerce from the time when the organization influenced economic policy during the colonial era to the present period of reforms. He pointed to the ICC’s international orientation and its dedication to the empowerment of businesses. While drawing similarities between ICC and Infosys, he commended Mr. Murthy’s leadership style that was based on collaboration, ethics, and innovation.
In his speech, Mr. Murthy exalted "compassionate capitalism, " which integrates business growth with social welfare. Referring to his journey, he always kept in mind that long, lasting success had to be based on ethics, vision, and global excellence. He advocated for technology to be used in a way that breaks down barriers and encouraged the young generation to be diligent, ambitious, and innovative.
Dr. Sanjiv Goenka talked about the India Chamber of Commerce and its leading role in India’s industrial story. He pointed out the necessity of leadership that cuts across different functions and also divulged his personal success formula, it lies in the continual setting of higher goals. On a national level, he said going east or west is no different as long as you are impacting every city. Mr. Brij Bhushan Agarwal expressed gratitude through an emotional vote of thanks in the closing moment of the event. He thanked the ICC for its 100 years of integrity, innovation, and contribution to the progress of the nation. He invited ICC to synchronize its mission with India’s vision for an affluent, inclusive, and Viksit Bharat 2047.
ICC Centenary Celebrations with Mr Devdutta Pattanaik 18 December 2024 | Ahmedabad
We had our first day of Centenary Celebrations in Kolkata on the 15th of December 2024 and then we took the energy to the second leg of the celebrations in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Along with the Chair of ICC Gujarat Council, Mr. Pathik Patwari, and the support of his committee, the event was a celebration of the presence of the members from the government, the industry, and the media.
The main event was a very interactive session of the well-known author and mythologist, Mr. Devdutt Pattanaik, who brought cultural, leadership, and storytelling aspects to the fore with his profound knowledge. He cited that in the context of current business language, many terms are inherently aggressive as they are derived from war-like strategies. His discourse on the Shubh Labh Model of Business was a beautiful and logical alternative based on the concepts of love and dharma. The audience found his presentation very stimulating and they also took the opportunity to acknowledge the 100 years of ICC’s outstanding journey as a loyal and honest partner to the nation.
Centenary Celebration & ICC Odisha Annual Day |27 December 2024 | Bhubaneswar
The centenary celebration of ICC was a grand affair on 27th December 2024 at Bhubaneswar and it was a major milestone in the journey of the ICC. The event was honoured with the presence of Shri Manmohan Samal, President of BJP Dal Odisha, who in his speech, appreciated ICC's efforts in the development and support of the industry and commerce ecosystem. A main event of the evening was the handing-over ceremony of the Chairmanship from Mr. J B Pany to Mr. Rajib Sahoo, the new Chairman, ICC Odisha state Council, took over the charge. The President of ICC, Mr. Abhyuday Jindal, was full of good wishes for Mr. Sahoo and said that he was very sure that under his guidance ICC Odisha would touch newer heights. The celebration also saw the participation of the Chairpersons who talked about their dynamic work plans for the coming year. Their combined viewpoint reflects ICC's resolve to be the architect of a strong industrial structure in Odisha. This wonderful celebration not only made worth the legacy of a century-long of ICC but also acted as a platform for the bright future, initiated by sectoral committees, who disclosed their influential projects and visionary leadership.
