The Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) chooses a "Theme of the Year" as the guiding principle for all Chambers of Commerce and their members during that year. Each year's theme will help businesses and policy-makers prepare for increasing economic opportunities in Eastern India and throughout India. The ICC's annual theme also serves to demonstrate its Trade and Investment Strategic Priority; its Infrastructure Strategic Priority (both large scale infrastructure & small scale infrastructure); its Micro, Small & Medium Enterprise (MSME) Development Strategic Priority; and its Sustainable Development Capacity Building Strategic Priority. Because of the annual theme established by the ICC, the ICC can make a long-term impact, position itself as a premier advocate for the Indian Business Community, and help lay the groundwork for developing long-term and sustainable economic development.
